TRAINING WITH PULSATE ACEDEMY
Pulsate Training Academy's aim is to provide training and education in emergency first aid, basic fire and prevention and safety, health and environment representation as well as to offer health and safety auditing in accordance with the highest professional standards with the belief that anyone who acquires this basic knowledge will be able to provide invaluable assistance to the Emergency Medical Services, but more importantly will be able to help to reduce the mortality rate during the first critical minutes following any emergency.

No individual should have to die or suffer unnecessary complications due to the inability of onlookers who are not skilled enough to provide basic life-saving emergency care!

Pulsate Training Academy is committed to providing a high standard of training and education in emergency procedures and, at different levels from basic to advanced that will give our students the knowledge and skills to cope confidently and effectively when faced with an emergency at work or in their wider community.
TRAINING AND COMMITMENT
Pulsate Training Academy has done extensive research and development to ensure that all training materials are up to international standard. All of our courses are registered with HWSETA. On completion of a course, students will have to undergo an examination that will be moderated to obtain a certificate and/or competency. We have a team of SETA- accredited facilitators, assessors and moderators that are subject experts and dedicated to the task of providing a high standard of training programs.
Our provided training courses will enable organizations to comply with the legal requirements of the Occupational Health and Safety Act of 1993
The fully accredited, outcomes-based programmed that we offer cater for all levels of training including individuals with limited reading and writing skills. Our training is in line with the skills development ACT that creates an atmosphere for continuous improvements in these fields.

Emergency First Aid Levels 1, 2, and 3
Attaining this knowledge enables an individual to confidently and effectively provide assistance during an emergency as a first responder on scene providing medical assistance while professionals such as paramedics, healthcare workers, and doctors are on their way. First Aid skills are critical as attending to a patient in the first moments after an emergency is vital and may prevent death or other complications.
What are the benefits?
The benefits include infection prevention, serious injury, death, and various additional complications. First Aid training is highly beneficial in the home, corporate environment, sporting industry, schooling facilities, and general surrounding. Obtaining a competency in the above mentioned course reduces response time as well as provides assistance to the professionals. Level 3 first aiders are presented with the opportunity to volunteer with an ambulance service, the number of hours required to obtain a competency depend on the particular ambulance service.
Duration of the Course
Level 1 – 2 days
Level 2 – 3 days
Level 3 – 4 days
All students are required to write an examination; the above days include the exam day. Students will receive a certificate valid for 3 years once the moderator has found the student competent, renewal is a requirement every 3 years for all First Aid courses. Level 3 First Aiders will be required to complete a certain amount of volunteer hours (in accordance with the chosen ambulance service) to obtain a competency letter once presented with a certificate.
SHErep – Safety, Health, and Environment representative
Obtaining a qualification in the above course allows an individual to manage and provide guidance to all first aiders in the relevant environments. A SHErep has the responsibility of ensuring that all first aid kits and other medical equipment and requirements alongside fire extinguishers, hoses, and requirements are up to standards. SHErep’s work in accordance with occupational health and safety auditors and ensure that all the relevant inspections are regularly attended to in order to provide updates upon auditing.
What are the benefits?
The advantages of completing this cause allows an individual to be knowledgeable about the rules and regulations according to the government as well as to familiarize oneself with their environment in terms or emergency exits, equipment, requirements, signage etc.
Duration of the course
SHErep – 2 days
All students are required to write an examination; the above days include the exam day. Students will receive a certificate valid for 2 years once the moderator has found the student competent, renewal is a requirement every 2 years.
Basic Fire and Prevention
Being skilled with this knowledge allows one to identify different types of fire as well provides the protocols on how to manage the various types of fires accordingly.
What are the benefits?
Obtaining the skills of this course may prevent serious damage, injury, and loss of life. Having the ability to react faster can be highly beneficial while firefighters and other professionals are on their way.
Duration of the Course
Basic Fire and Prevention – 6 hours
All students are required to write an examination; the above days include the exam day. Students will receive a certificate valid for 3 years once the moderator has found the student competent, renewal is a requirement every 3 years.
ADDITIONAL SERVICES OFFERED
OHS – Occupational Health and Safety Auditing.
In accordance with the Occupational Health and Safety Act 85 of 1993 it is a requirement for all working environments especially those that include heavy machinery to undergo an occupational health and safety audit every 2 years by a registered OHS auditor. Pulsate Training Academy not only provides the SHErep training to ensure all checks are regularly done for the audit, but also carries out the auditing service by our trained and registered OHS
It is the duty of the OHS to ensure that all medical, fire, and safety equipment is in accordance to the requirements set by the government. It is necessary for the facilities to be checked for any possible danger or injury. This audit is a vital step for all enterprises ranging from micro- enterprises to large enterprises including schools, sporting facilities, public facilities etc.

Training for STIs.
This modular learning experience addresses the epidemiology, pathogenesis, clinical manifestations, diagnosis, management, and prevention of STIs. It is continuously updated and integrates the most recent STI Treatment Guidelines.
Duration of the course
Training for STI’s – 6 hours
All students are required to write an examination; the above days include the exam day. Students will receive a certificate valid for 3 years once the moderator has found the student competent, renewal is a requirement every 3 years.
Life Skills for Everyday Life.
Life skills are abilities for adaptive and positive behavior that enable individuals to deal effectively with the demands and challenges of everyday life. It is the pursuit of developing, honing and mastering the skills that help us become the best we can, with all that we have. To achieve success, it is important to establish a firm foundation of self-confidence, high self-esteem, and knowledge of who we are, what we want, and what we are doing. Without these skills, we will feel that something is missing in our life.
Duration of the course
Life Sills for Everyday Life – 3 Days
All students are required to write an examination; the above days include the exam day. Students will receive a certificate valid for 3 years once the moderator has found the student competent, renewal is a requirement every 3 years.
HIV&AIDS
This HIV/AIDS course teaches focuses on awareness and prevention of the disease. This global health issue continues to affect millions of people. With this course, you will get a comprehensive understanding of the impact of HIV/AIDs on both individuals and communities around the world. You will also look into the common misconceptions surrounding this disease and examine its spread, including its death toll on a global scale.
